Withdrawal Policy
The International Journal of Issues on Disabilities (IJID) understands that authors may occasionally need to withdraw their manuscript. To ensure fairness and transparency, the following policy applies:
1. Withdrawal Before Peer Review
-
Authors may request withdrawal before the manuscript has entered peer review without any penalties.
-
A formal withdrawal request must be submitted in writing to the editorial office, including the manuscript ID, title, and reason for withdrawal.
-
If an Article Processing Charge (APC) has been paid and the manuscript has not entered peer review, a refund may be considered as per the journal’s Refund Policy.
2. Withdrawal During Peer Review
-
Manuscripts undergoing peer review should not be withdrawn except under exceptional circumstances (e.g., ethical concerns, duplicate submission discovered).
-
Requests must include a detailed explanation and will be reviewed by the editorial team.
-
APCs are not refundable once peer review has started.
3. Withdrawal After Acceptance
-
Withdrawal after acceptance is strongly discouraged.
-
Requests for withdrawal at this stage will only be considered in extreme cases (e.g., ethical issues, author dispute).
-
APCs will not be refunded.
4. Procedure for Withdrawal
-
Submit a written request via email to the editorial office: editor@ijidjournal.online
-
Include manuscript details: ID, title, corresponding author, and reason for withdrawal.
-
The editorial team will review the request and respond promptly.
-
Withdrawal will be formally recorded in the journal system to maintain transparency.
5. Consequences of Unapproved Withdrawal
-
Withdrawing a manuscript without notifying the editorial office or after acceptance may be reported to institutions or funding bodies if necessary.
-
Authors are expected to adhere to ethical publication practices.
