Abstract

This study consisted of two objectives,  and three research hypotheses, The researcher made use of a quasi-experimental research design, the total population of the study covers the entire 3,808 public primary schools in Bauchi state which the researcher applied Random sampling technique to sample 120 schools for the study and also applied purposive sampling technique to sample 90 primary three pupils confirmed with stammering using the researcher’s made Identification Checklist for nominations of pupils with speech disorder and Practical Oral Assessment (P.O.A.) for confirmation of speech disorder among primary III pupils with stuttering speech.  The study was conducted in the 120 sampled primary Schools, where the researcher used research assistants to collaboratively conduct two weeks therapeutics protocols. Pre-diagnosis test and post-diagnosis test scores were collated for data presentation, analysis and discussion after being fed into the statistical package for the Social Sciences (SPSS, version 25). The experimental and control group post-test mean scores comparisons, which stand at 4.2188 and 2.5313, respectively, with degrees of freedom of 88, using the level of significance of 0.05. The P. value was 0.000. In view of the above analysis, the P. value is by far less than the significance level in the table of the t-distribution. The researcher has therefore rejected the null hypothesis in favour of the alternative hypothesis. The study will serve as a reference for research purposes to researchers, especially medical practitioners and primary school teachers, to know what treatment protocols can be adopted for primary school pupils with categories of speech disorders in Bauchi state.
